Arnold Schwarzenegger Siblings: Meet Meinhard: Arnold Schwarzenegger, officially known as Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger is an Austrian and American actor.

He’s also a businessman, filmmaker, investor, retired professional bodybuilder, and politician who served as the 38th governor of California between 2003 and 2011.

Arnold Schwarzenegger developed a love for acting at a very younger age and had been consistent throughout his career rising through the ranks to become one of the most sought-after actors.

At the age of 15, he started lifting weights and went on to win the Mr. Universe title at age 20 subsequently, he won the Mr. Olympia title seven times

Schwarzenegger is widely regarded as one of the greatest bodybuilders of all time and has written many books and articles about bodybuilding.

The Arnold Sports Festival considered the second-most important bodybuilding event after Mr. Olympia, is named after him.

He move from bodybuilding into acting and landed a role in Hercules in New York. His second film appearance was as a mob hitman in The Long Goodbye.

Schwarzenegger played a major part in the film Stay Hungry for which he won the Golden Globe Award for New Star of the Year – Actor.

He gained worldwide fame as a Hollywood action star, with his role in the sword and sorcery epic; Conan the Barbarian.

After playing the title character in The Terminator, he starred in the sequels; Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines, Terminator Genisys, and Terminator: Dark Fate.

His other famous movies include; Commando, The Running Man, Predator, Red Heat, Total Recall, and True Lies, Last Action Hero, Eraser, Aftermath, Red Heat, Pumping Iron, to mention a few.

In addition, he appeared in a number of comedy films such as Twins, Kindergarten Cop, Junior, and Jingle All the Way. He’s the founder of the film production company Oak Productions.

In politics, Schwarzenegger was part of the Republican Party and was first elected on October 7, 2003, in a special recall election to replace then-Governor Gray Davis.

He was sworn in on November 17, 2003, to serve the remainder of Davis’ term, and was re-elected in the 2006 California gubernatorial election to serve a full term as governor.

Time magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2004 and 2007. In 2011, Schwarzenegger reached his term limit as governor and returned to acting.

He was nicknamed the ‘Austrian Oak in his bodybuilding days, ‘Arnie’ or ‘Schwarzy’ during his acting career, and ‘the Governator’ during his political career.
